Girls take third place at Litchfield
The Paynesville girls' golf team - led by sophomore Heather Fuchs' (pictured at right) round of 45 - finished third at an invitational meet at Litchfield on Friday, May 10. Dassel-Cokato won the six-team meet, scoring 184. The green team from Litchfield was second at 190. Paynesville was third at 193.
Other counting scores for Paynesville were senior Sally Heitke, 48; senior Maria Janotta, 50; and sophomore Amanda Glenz, 50.
The girls played in their last conference meet on Monday, May 13, in Melrose. They will play next in subsection competition on Tuesday, May 21, in Becker, starting at 8:30 a.m.
