The Bulldogs lost another close conference contest last Tuesday. After the Bulldogs took a 3-2 lead in the top of the sixth, Albany rallied to tie in the bottom of the sixth, and win in the bottom of the seventh.

Albany's Ross Denne homered in the sixth to knot the game at three and singled home the winning run in the seventh. For the game, he had hits in all three of his at bats.

The Bulldogs took an immediate 1-0 lead when Ben Bork led off the game with a solo home run. It was the second straight game in which Bork had homered.

Albany took the lead with two unearned runs in the fourth. The Bulldogs botched the first play of the inning, and the Huskies ended up plating two runs with a pair of doubles, the second coming with two outs.

Scott Braun hit a single through the drawn in Huskies infield in the top of the sixth to score both Brent Heinen and Dustin Looman. That gave Paynesville a temporary 3-2 lead.

"We've got to close them out when we have the lead in the sixth inning," said Skoglund. "It takes a total team effort, and we're just not getting it done."
