Jensen earns medalist honors at home meet

Junior Amber Jensen earned medalist honors with a round of 47 as the girls' golf team opened their season with a three-team meet at Koronis Hills Golf Club on Tuesday, April 5.

Jensen's round of 47 on the front nine was the best round by three strokes. Megan Urban of New London-Spicer was next with a round of 50.

NL-S took the team title with a total of 217. Paynesville was second at 231, and ACGC was third at 247.

In addition to Jensen, ninth grader Marissa Mackedanz finished in the top five individually. She shot a round of 53 to tie for third.

Ninth grader Katrina Daby shot 65, and ninth grader Natasha Fang-meier shot 66 to complete the Dogs' team score.

This week, the Dogs will compete in a nonconference meet at Melrose on Thursday, April 14, at 4:30 p.m. Next week, they wil start their conference schedule with a meet at St. Cloud on Tuesday, April 19. Team Scores
