Paynesville senior Joe Nosbush, who set six school records on the football field for the Bulldogs last fall, has signed to play next year for Ridgewater College.

Nosbush, a 5' 11", 170-lb. middle linebacker, set career records for tackles (332), solo tackles (100), and defensive points (516). He also holds records for most tackles in a game (29), most defensive points in a game (44), and most defensive points in a season (255).

Nosbush earned All Conference honors last year in the West Central Conference after being named honorable mention as a junior. He was also named to the All Area team by the West Central Tribune.

He is one of 39 players, including eight linebackers, whose signings were announced by Ridgewater last week.

Warriors' head coach John Vraa was pleased with the talent and position breakdown of the signees. "I am very happy with our group of new players," he said. "This group has achieved some pretty high honors from both the team and individual standpoints. And, as a bonus, they are fairly spread out over all position groups."

Ridgewater is a community and technical college with campuses in Willmar and Hutchinson.
