Four basketball cheerleaders have been recognized for their dedication this winter season, during which they attended every practice and each scheduled game. Their perfect attendance earned them a Gold Bar award for the season.Earning the award this year were (front) Jacqie Utsch and Heidi Steinhofer, (back) Mallory Mackedanz and Lynn Niewind. These girls cheered at 26 games, competed at a cheerleading competition, and attended every practice.
Utsch earned the Gold Bar award for the second consecutive season. Last year, she cheered at 32 games, which was more than either basketball team played separately.
Coach Sheri Wegner said the cheerleaders were very deserving of the award on account of their hard work and dedication.
