Moorhead ends the Stars' season

The River Lakes Stars boys' hockey team ended their season on Tuesday, Feb. 20, with a 9-0 loss at Moorhead.

Stars' goalie Blake Theisen made 52 saves in vain, as the Spuds outshot the Stars 61-5.

Moorhead scored three times in the first, four times in the second, and twice in the third for the win. Seven different players scored goals for the Spuds, who advanced in the playoffs with the victory.

Terry Kragero and Aaron Haskins scored two goals apiece for the Spuds. Haskins added two assists. Nick Deutz and John Mackner each had a goal and three assists for Moorhead.

The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Stars, who finished the season with a record of 8-14. The Stars won four of their last six games.
