Gymnastic season over after sections Saturday

On Saturday, Feb. 13, the Bulldog gymnasts traveled to Benson for the Section meet.

Paynesville started the night out on the bars. Joy Hemmesch placed 25th with a score of 6.65. Earning 34th place was Rachel Koehn with a 5.65. Right behind her was Michelle Wolbeck with a 5.4 placing 35th. Receiving a 5.0 and 37th place was Jenni Mayer.

The next event for the Bulldogs was vault. Hemmesch led the team with a 7.9 and 20th place. Receiving 23rd was Wolbeck with a score of 7.85. Mayer earned a 7.65 putting her in 28th place. In 32nd was Koehn with a 7.55. Amy Mueller earned a 7.2 and 40th place.

On beam, Wolbeck led the team with a 7.6 and 18th place. Jen Moser earned 24th place with a score of 7.35. Receiving 28th with a 7.05 was Hemmesch. Koehn placed 30th with a score of 6.9. In 35th with a score of 6.35 was Mueller.

The last event of the night for Paynesville was floor. Hemmesch led the team with an 8.05 putting her in 20th place. Koehn received 25th place with a 7.7. Moser earned 29th with a score of 7.6. Wolbeck placed 36th with a 7.0. In 43rd place with a score of 6.15 was Mayer.

In the all-around competition, Hemmesch earned a 29.65 putting her in 17th place. Receiving 20th place was Wolbeck with a 27.85. Koehn placed 22nd with a score of 27.80.
