Bulldogs end regular season with loss

On Tuesday, Feb. 8, the Bulldog gymnastics team traveled to Alexandria where they were defeated 129.85-118.45.

The girls started the night out on the bar competition. Joy Hemmesch placed fourth with a score of 7.8. Earning second place was Krysta Larson with an 8.05.

In the vault competition, all of the girls had nice vaults but only one placed. Jenni Mayer earned third place with a score of 8.35.

On the floor exercise, the girls all had nice routines and some very hard tumbling passes but none of them placed. Krysta Larson added two one-handed back handsprings to her routine which looked very nice. Joy Hemmesch added a front tuck and a pike to her routine.

The final event of the night for Paynesville was the beam competition. The girls all had a good night on beam. Their routines looked great but none of the Bulldog gymnasts placed.

Joy Hemmesch and Michelle Wolbeck both competed in the all-around competition but didn't place.
