By Michael Jacobson

Paynesville's dance team earned seventh place, out of 13 teams, at the St. Paul Winter Carnival competition held on Saturday at Irondale High School in New Brighton.

The team thought it was great to be a part of the Winter Carnival activities and to have a team represent Paynesville, said coaches Jeanne Virant and Barb Werlinger.

Cannon Falls took first, followed by Yellow Medicine East, New Ulm Cathedral, Wabasha-Kellogg, Bagley, Lake City, and Paynesville.

The Bullettes' next competition will be sections at Montevideo HIgh School on Saturday, Feb. 21. Paynesville will compete against 21 teams in Class A high kick with sixteams advancing to state.
