Against Morris on Thursday, only nine skaters played in the first period, and they managed to put the Stars ahead 2-1 at the end of the period. Goals were scored by Mike Stang and Pat Stalboerger for the Stars.
In the second period, Derek Dahlen scored, putting River Lakes up by two. Then a flurry of activity occurred right before the end of the period. With 33 seconds left, Morris scored, narrowing the lead to one. But 21 seconds later, Brett Theisen scored for the Stars, bringing their lead back to two.
The Stars held on to win, after a scoreless third period, by the final score of 4-2.
The Stars' two games this week are both on the road. In fact, they are the last two road games left in the regular season. They play at Sauk Centre on Thursday, and at Sleepy Eye on Saturday.
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, the Stars face Becker in Richmond in their last regular season game. This is one of the last chances for fans to see them play this year.

The Stars' second game of the week was against Sartell in Richmond on Saturday. The Stars' won their first game against Sartell earlier in the year, but the Sabres unfortunately dealt the Stars a loss.
The two teams were, for the most part, equal in skill, but the Sabres earned the win with their spirit. Sartell scored twice in the first period, once in the second, and once in the third to beat the Stars 4-0.
