By Mandy Mayer

Mandy Mayer The Paynesville gymnasts had a close meet against the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters on Thursday, but unfortunately it wasn't close enough. The Mainstreeters edged the Bulldogs in Sauk Centre 118.85-115.7.

Seventh grader Kacy Nehowig started the night out great on the uneven bars, placing first. Senior Rachel Koehn was right behind her in third place. Nehowig also had two great vaults, which earned her second place.

In the all-around competition Nehowig placed first, scoring 31.25, and Mueller placed fifth.
