Litchfield wins PHS gymnastic quadrangular

On Friday, Jan. 29, Paynesville hosted a varsity quadrangular. Results of the meet were:
Litchfield - 125.6
New London-Spicer - 124.2
Paynesville - 117.9
Maple Lake - 111.25

Paynesville started the night out on vault where they got the third highest team total. Joy Hemmesch earned fifth place with an 8.65.

The Bulldogs then moved to bars where they again earned the third highest score. Rachel Koehn was the only one placing from Paynesville. She earned fifth place with a score of 6.9.

On beam Paynesville also placed third highest. No one placed in the top five but all had very nice routines.

The Bulldog’s last event of the night was floor where they placed third highest once again. Joy Hemmesch earned fifth place with a score of 8.05.

In the all-around competition Joy Hemmesch placed fifth with a score of 30.85.


Litchfield
On Tuesday, Jan. 26, Paynesville suffered a loss 129.0-126.05. to Litchfield

Paynesville started the night out on vault. Joy Hemmesch received an 8.6 putting her in fourth place. Earning third place with an 8.65 was Krysta Larson.
The Bulldogs then moved to bars. Camille Flanders tied for second place with a Litchfield gymnast, both earning an 8.05. The other Paynesville gymnasts had nice routines, but didn’t place in the top five.

On beam Krysta Larson balanced into first with a score of 8.5. Jen Moser earned a 7.8 putting her in fifth place.

The last event of the night for Paynesville was floor. Moser received a 7.75 putting her in fifth place. Earning fourth was Hemmesch with a 7.8. Tumbling into second was Larson with a score of 8.3.

In the all-around competition Michelle Wolbeck received fifth with a 29.4. Hemmesch earned a 31.35 putting her in fourth place. In second place was Krysta Larson with a 32.95.
