Bullettes take fourth at CSB

By Michael Jacobson

The Paynesville Bullettes - the varsity danceline at PAHS - finished fourth out of six teams at a competition at the College of St. Benedict on Saturday afternoon.

Kick Pelican Rapids placed first, followed by Hawley, Minneota, and Paynesville. Albany was fifth, and Lakeview sixth.

Senior Kacie Wander displays a high kick as part of the danceline during a recent halftime performance.

The competition at St. Benedict also included several college teams as well as an exhibition by the Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders.

This year, 16 girls comprise the PAHS Bullettes: seniors Katie Bertram, Kelly Herzberg, Melanie Mages, LeAnn Nepsund, Megan Reeck (captain), Amanda Skalicky (captain), Kacie Wander, and Lindsey Wyffels; juniors Tawny Bengtson and Amanda Lieser; sophomores Sue Albrecht, Bre Engler, Casandra Hoekstra, Kim Magedanz, and Ashley Ogdahl; and ninth grader Kaitlin Burlingame.

The Bullettes are coached by Jeanne Virant and Barb Werlinger.

The Bullettes' next competition is the West Central Conference meet at St. Cloud Cathedral on Thursday, Jan. 26, starting at 6:30 p.m.
