Dragons outscore Paynesville's gymnasts

The Bulldogs lost to the Litchfield Dragons on Tuesday, Jan. 8. The final score was 126.1-119.6.

Seventh grader Kacy Nehowig earned first place with a new vault. Senior Amy Mueller was right behind her scoring second. And junior Tessa Miller placed fifth.

Nehowig was the only Bulldog able to place on the uneven bars. She placed third. Mueller placed fourth on the balance beam with a very nice looking routine.

On the floor exercise, senior Rachel Koehn placed third. Mueller placed fourth, and Nehowig tied for fifth.

In the all-around competition, Nehowig placed third, Mueller placed fourth, and Miller placed fifth.

This week, the gymnasts will compete at Morris on Thursday, starting at 6:30 p.m. They will host Howard Lake-Waverly/Maple Lake on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Lake Koronis Assembly Grounds, starting at 6:30 p.m., as well.
