Stars lose to St. Cloud Tech, Little Falls

The River Lakes Stars boys' hockey team lost twice last week in its first action since their holiday tournament and dropped to 3-9 for the season. The Stars lost to Little Falls 7-1 on Thursday and 11-0 to St. Cloud Tech on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

At Little Falls, the Stars were outshot 52-24. The Flyers scored three goals in the first period and three more in the second.

Sophomore wing Nick Dahlen scored the only goal for the Stars in the second period.

Junior goaltender Blake Theisen made 45 saves for the Stars.

Against St. Cloud Tech, the Stars had only five shots on goal. They were outshot 46-5 at Richmond.

Senior goalie Justin Hartfiel made 35 saves for the Stars.
