Stars lose to Morris

The River Lakes Stars had a fairly relaxing schedule this past week. On Tuesday, Jan. 4, we had a scrimmage against Becker. It was a good learning experience and the final outcome of the game was 8-7 in favor of the Stars, in overtime. Although that game didn't count for their record, it did help lift the team's spirits.

The second game of the week was against Morris on Thursday in Richmond. It was quite a good game to watch. The two teams were equally matched throughout the game. At the end of both the first and second periods, the score was tied.

Then, in the last period, Morris pulled ahead to take the game by scoring three goals. Morris won 5-2.
