Bridge in river park is rebuilt

On Saturday with the help of nine Boy Scouts, ten Trail Guards, and seven local adults, we dismantled our fallen-down bridge, moved it over about 30 feet to a more stable area, and reassembled it over long timbers as engineered by our master bridge designer, Dale Klein.

We also had a great trail grooming crew at work moving and hauling wood chips. The trails are in great shape for fall, the best time to visit the park.

The Crow River Nature Park is located at the north end of Burr Street (the street on the west side of the St. Louis Catholic Church). It is being built by the Crow River Trail Guards with all volunteer labor and self-raised nontax source dollars.
