City administrator appointed to MAOSC board

Dennis Wilde, Paynesville City Administrator, was appointed to the Minnesota Association of Small Cities (MAOSC) Board of Directors during their annual conference Aug. 13 and 14 at Detroit Lakes.

The conference had many workshops for small cities, including an environmental/ordinance panel, a special assessments projects panel, and a gubernatorial debate.

The MAOSC is an association representing cities with populations under 5,000 throughout Minnesota. Working hand in hand with the League of Minnesota Cities, MAOSC is able to focus on issues smaller communities face.

Other officers are president: Vince Schaefer, city of Rockville mayor; vice-president, Dave Miller, Crosby; secretary/treasurer, Nelda Remus, Zimmerman; board members are: Pam Bergeson, Lake Park; Dave Bovee, Dawson; Arvid Clementson, Fosston; Dan Elwood, Madison; Deb Eukel, Red Lake Falls; Greg Isaackson, Cottonwood; Paul Iverson, Two Harbors; Myles McGrath, LeCenter; and Joel Young, Chatfield.
