Students of the Month for December named at PAMS

Students of the Month for December were named last week at Paynesville Area Middle School.

Chosen were sixth grader Clayton Johnson, seventh grader Carissa Utsch, and eighth grader Amanda Lieser. Three students are selected each month by their teachers for their performance and behavior at school.

Clayton Johnson, Carissa Utsch, and Amanda Lieser Johnson, the son of Norma Carpenter, was happy and excited to get the award. He felt he deserved it because he was quiet in class and because his teachers like him. He likes to play basketball.

Students of the Month are sixth grader Clayton Johnson, seventh grader Carissa Utsch, and eighth grader Amanda Lieser.

His teachers state that Clayton is hard working, tries hard, and has a great attitude.

Utsch, the daughter of Jerry and Leila Utsch, was surprised and amazed to receive the award, which she felt she got because she is a good student. She plays basketball and softball.

Her teachers say that Carissa is hard working, responsible, respectful, dedicated, and friendly.

Lieser, the daughter of Curt and Geralyn Lieser, was surprised to get the award, which she said she has no idea why she won. She plays volleyball and softball, sings in the choir, and is a member of the student council.

Her teachers state that Amanda is responsible, pleasant, friendly to students and staff, hard working, and considerate.
