The recipients successfully completed voluntary audits of their environmental practices, to assure that they comply with appropriate environmental laws and seek pollution prevention opportunities.
For Larry Fleck, owner of the Pilgrim Inn, the audit was done in conjunction with the removal of the gas tanks and pumps at his business in 1998.
