Nancy Landmark, Paynesville, has opened a law office in her home after working eight years with the Frauenshuh and Spooner Law Office in Paynesville.

Landmark said she had a desire to branch out on her own in an attempt to balance her work and family better. “It offers me a chance to work with people in a more comfortable setting and provide me more flexibility,” she said.

A graduate of University of Colorado, Boulder, she handles general law practice work, divorces, adoptions, mediation, guardianship, health care declarations, real estate work to name a few.

“I want to be able to work with individuals to help them meet their goals. The legal system can be intimidating and I want to help area residents get through the system. I hope to be able to take an educational point of view so the client understands the legal system better and to empower people to do more on their own,” Landmark said.

Landmark and her husband, Steve Masih, have two children, Kirsten, 6, and Philip, 14 months. Masih is a regional salesman with Leitz Tooling.
