Students of the Month for November named at PAMS

By Michael Jacobson

Sixth grader Kayla Lieser, seventh grader Jamison Wall, and eighth grader Natalie Leadem were chosen as Students of the Month for November at Paynesville Area Middle School.

The trio said they were happy and honored to get the award, which is meant to recognize students for their work in class and their relations with their peers and school staff. "I never, ever thought I'd get this award," said Lieser.

Wall said he was surprised, too, and happy to get the award, which he thinks he won because of his hard work in school.

Students of the Month Leadem thought she won the award because of her positive attitude and good grades.

Lieser, the daughter of Curt and Geralyn Lieser, likes to play basketball and volleyball and is a member of the student council. At home, she likes to play videogames and draw.

Eighth grader Natalie Leadern, seventh grader Jamison Wall, and sixth grader Kayla Lieser were chosen as the Students of the Month for November at Paynesville Area Middle School.

Her teachers state that Kayla is respectful of others, has a good sense of humor, and copes well with any little obstacles.

Wall, the son of Cherie Wall and Kevin Wall, participates in cross country, basketball, baseball, and track at school. He also likes to bike, dirtbike, and skateboard.

His teachers describe Jamison as a good student, responsible, friendly, and very involved in activities.

Leadem, the daughter of Paul and Kella Bugbee, plays in the band, sings in the choir, plays volleyball and basketball, and runs track. She also likes to waterski, play piano, skateboard, play sports, and shop.

Her teachers said that Natalie has a pleasant personality, works hard, and is friendly, responsible, and a good student.

In addition to Lieser, Wall, and Leadem, sixth grader Jordan Severance, seventh grader Heather Rondeau, and eighth grader Colby Peterson were chosen as Students of the Month in October at PAMS.
