Valley Industries has been selling agriculture products for more than 30 years. The company was founded in Eden Valley under the name of Mills Fur Farm Supply. In 1994, the name was changed to Valley Industries by the companies new owners: Tom, Bob, Greg, and Mark Gillis and Leo and Cecil Louis. In 1997, Brian and Jeff Savage bought into the company.

In March 1999, the company moved its entire operation to Paynesville's Industrial Park in the former Louis Industries north facility.

Brian Savage, general manager, said the company is broken into three areas: job shop, marketing, and direct mailing. "The job shop manufactures items for Louis Industries, fire track for a company in Kimball, and makes boat lift parts for a Mankato firm. Our marketing division takes orders over our Internet site. We distribute fliers across the country. One flier specializes in pressure washer parts. Our newest flier features ag spraying parts and accessories," Savage said.

Savage said they buy and resell products through their direct mailing division. The ag spraying brochure was started just six months ago.

Valley Industries is presently developing a new product, drain cleaners. After the first of the year they will be adding that to their product line.

Valley Industries has 10 employees. They do welding, precision machining, and run a tool shop. "Our business complements other businesses in the area," Savage added.
