Chamber kicking off
Christmas celebration

The Paynesville Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off the holiday season on Sunday, Nov. 19, with its holiday breakfast and downtown tree lighting, as local retailers host their Discount Sunday.

The Chamber will host a breakfast at Queen Bee's Bar and Grill from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday - see the holiday calendar on page 8B this week for details - as well as a community Christmas celebration, beginning at 11 a.m. Events include horse and buggy rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a live performance by the Centrist Choir, and live music from Terry Nelson from 1 to 3 p.m.

The lighting of the community Christmas tree - at the corner of Washburne Avenue and James Street - will be held at 2 p.m. Santa Claus will be available for kids to give their wish lists from 1 to 3 p.m.
