Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m.

The play centers around a young writer, George Travis (Kellen Anderson), who aspires to be the next Stephen King but is suffering from writer's block. He travels to New Hampshire to marry his childhood sweetheart, Betty Fisher (Rachel McCloud).

There, the couple spend a hauntingly hilarious evening in the Black Raven Inn, which Anderson's character is set to inherit from his eccentric, deceased aunt.

Among the wildly funny guests at the inn are the ghost of Mercy Appleton (Chelsea Klein); an Egyptian mummy (Austin Mackedanz); and high school students in Halloween spirit.

In a wacky turn of events, the housekeeper (Kristine Hoeft) is murdered, switching from the silly antics of the visitors into a who-done-it mystery.

Admission to the play is a freewill donation for the drama department.

Showtimes

The middle school play - the mystery/ comedy "Be My Ghost" by Tim Kelly - will be staged on Friday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
