Boy and crash dummy Crash dummies, Vince and Larry, were on hand Saturday, Oct. 14, for a child passenger safety clinic at Vern Johnson Motors, Paynesville.

The Minnesota Safe Kids Coalition and Generral Motors sponsored the clinic which was conducted by the Paynesville Area Ambulance personnel. They checked 36 children's seats and installed 15 new children's seats.

Dummies and mobile check-up van Vince and Larry handed out brochures, shook hands with children, and waved to vehicles driving by on Hwy. 23. One driver even put on their seatbelt as they went by, according to Brenda Stang.

The colorfully decorated van drew attention to the event with the car parked in front of Vern Johnson Motors.
