A native of St. Martin, Brother Mandernach was active with People First Organization and the CCD program, working with mentally and physically handicapped children in Hastings, Neb., where he served until recently. He was a dean and coach with the high schools at the Crosier Seminary Prep in Onamia. He served with a Crosier mission in Zaire, Africa from 1993-95.
