Home-based business honored

Sheri McCorquodale of Paynes-ville recently won an award for being a top performer from Cornerstone International.

award The award puts McCorquodale in the top ten percent of home-based businesses, according to Cornerstone International, which surveys the home-based business industry and choose entrepreneurs who show exceptional qualities of leadership and success.

"Sheri is a great testament to the will and resolve of a single mom who decided she was going to provide a better life for her family. Watching her grow in skills and talents has been truly amazing," said Cornerstone president John Harrod.

For the award, McCorquodale received a travel barbeque grill, a catered party for her friends, a recognition plaque, a free weekend get-a-way, and a Caribbean cruise.

In addition to working part-time and running a household with three teenage girls, McCorquodale spends a couple hours a night on her home business, selling nutrional supplements, phone and Internet service, and healthy meals.
