Governor proclaims 9/11 as Patriot Day

Governor Tim Pawlenty has designated Thursday, Sept. 11, as Patriot Day, ordering American and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on all state property. Pawlenty also encouraged all Minnesotans to display their flags at half-staff on that day and to participate in a moment of silence at 7:46 a.m. in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks in New York City, in Washington, D.C., and on four commercial planes on Sept. 11, 2001.
