In the city of Regal, a proposal to change the city ordinance to allow liquor to be served at public establishments on Sundays will be on the ballot as well on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

This election will be held in conjunction with the primary voting. In Regal, the voting will be done in the south room of the Pilgrim Inn.

A majority of the voters in the city must approve a change in the city ordinance to allow liquor to be served on Sundays.

The voters of Regal have rejected such a change twice in the past. The issue went to a vote, but was voted down in January and July of 1999.

This issue will also be on the ballot in the city of Paynesville at the general election in November.
