Work continues in township

By Michael Jacobson

Cutting down "Tolman's Hill" Work continues on three roads in Paynesville Township: NW Koronis Road, Breezewood Road, and Crestridge Road.

Reducing the crest of the hill on NW Koronis Road should improve visibility on the road.

The hill on NW Koronis Road - long known as Tolman's Hill - has been cut, closing the road for several weeks. Fill from the hill is being used to construct an eight-foot pedestrian trail alongside both NW Koronis and Breezewood roads.

Digging on township roads This week, work is expected to begin along Crestridge Road, where a couple berms will be built in the ditch and a trail will be constructed on the north side. Most of the work on Crestridge Road should occur in the ditch, with traffic being able to use the road, but there will be extra truck traffic on the road.

A backhoe cuts the slope of the hill on NW Koronis Road last week.

All three roads - Breezewood, Crestridge, and NW Koronis - will need to be milled or overlayed before the project is complete.
