Assembly Grounds to celebrate 85 years

The Lake Koronis Assembly Grounds will celebrate their 85th anniversary over the Aug. 25-27 weekend. The camp was founded in 1921 with the first campers coming in 1922.

On Saturday, Aug. 26, the grounds will be open for guided tours, swimming, hiking, pontoon tours, and games from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A free picnic lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 4 p.m., a "Celebrate the Past" assembly will be held in the tabernacle.

A "Celebrate the Future" banquet will be held on Saturday night at 6 p.m. in the Lakeview dining room. Tickets are $8.50 per person. Preregistration is required by calling the LKAG office at 243-4544.
