MnDOT to start work on Highway 4

Roadwork on Highway 4 from Paynesville to Sauk Centre was scheduled to start on Monday, Aug. 12, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).

The work on nearly 23 miles of Highway 4, from the junction of Highway 55 near Paynesville to Interstate 94 near Sauk Centre, will include two to three days of seal coating, one to two days of sealant application, and one to two days of striping. Crews will be working from north to south.

Traffic restrictions will include daytime lane closures, work zone speed reductions, and lane shifts about two to three miles in length. Traffic flow will be regulated with flaggers and pilot cars, as each direction of travel will have to take turns using the one open driving lane.

Motorists should also plan on overnight speed reduction advisories throughout those portions of the highway that have received the initial seal coat application.

MnDOT also plans to seal coat Highway 25 in Benton County from Highway 95 to Little Rock; Highway 23 in Benton County from Highway 95 to Foley; and on the eastbound lanes of Highway 10 in Sherburne County from Clear Lake to Big Lake.
