Doctor named clinic president

Dr. Allen Horn, M.D., will become the president of the CentraCare Clinic in January. He will replace Dr. Terry Pladson, M.D., who will be the sole president of CentraCare Health System.

The leadership changes become effective upon the retirement of St. Cloud Hospital president John Frobenius, who has been system co-president with Pladson.

Dr. Horn, the son of Leonard Horn of Paynesville, is a family practice physician who has practiced in Melrose since 1972. For the past six years, he has served as the medical director of CentraCare Clinic.

A native of Paynesville, he is a graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville and the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

CentraCare Clinic employs more than 100 physicians and operates 10 clinics throughout central Minnesota.
