Sheets has worked with Caldwell Asphalt about 18 years and wanted something different. Beier had worked with Mathio-wetz Construction, Sleepy Eye, for 10 years and Mueller Excavating, Lake Henry, four years.
Last fall they started exploring the financial aspect of starting a new business. Their goal is to expand their business so when their sons are old enough, they can join the operation.
B&S Excavating specializes in septic systems, basements, driveways, tiling, demolition, preparing building sites and snow removal.
