Customer Appreciation Day is Saturday

Area retailers are busy planning "Customer Appreciation Day" for Saturday, July 27, to show customers just how much they appreciate their support.

Afternoon musical entertainment will feature the Koronis Brass and String OÍ Pearls. The Koronis Brass will be performing at 5 p.m. and the String O' Pearls at 6 p.m.

The Stearns County Dairy Princess Kathy Gamrad will be distributing milk to people. Members of the Chamber of Commerce will be serving a free meal to the public from 5 to 8 p.m. on James Street between Corner Drug and Corner Floral. The Stearns County Pork Producers and Jim Poepping are preparing Pep's Pork patties, for the meal. It will also include chips and milk. Cheese served is compliments of AMPI and the Paynesville Office of the Melrose Credit Union is donating milk and popcorn.

Door prizes donated by local merchants will be awarded every half hour throughout the evening. People must be present to win.

In case of inclement weather, it will be moved to the Paynesville Civic Ice Arena behind Bernie's Barn.
