Annual flower show set for Aug. 3 and 4

"There's a Song in My Heart" is the theme of the 40th Annual Flower Show at the Grace United Methodist Church, Paynesville, Aug. 3 and 4.

The Flower Show, held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and until 11 a.m. Sunday, is sponsored by the Women of Grace United Methodist Church and is held in the church fellowship hall.

The flowers entered in the show are divided into five divisions: Children's Artistic Arrangement, Artistic Arrangements, house plants, perennials and annuals.

The Children's Artistic Arrangement division includes: How Much is That Doggie in the Window, an arrangement with a dog; The Farmer in the Dell, an arrangement using mixed flowers and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, an all red arrangement.

Artistic Arrangements by adults include:
´Over the Rainbow, mixed flowers.
´In the Garden, a religious theme.
´Joy to the World, a Christmas arrangement.
´Tea for Two, an arrangement in a teapot.
´Amazing Grace, an all white arrangement.
´Little Brown Church in the Vale, a dried arrangement.
´Sweet and Low, a) a miniature arrangement not exceeding three inches in height and width; b) a miniature arrangement not exceeding six inches in height and width.
´Trail of the Lonesome Pine, an all green arrangement.
