Ted's RV Land adds new franchise

By Linda Stelling

Hoekstra Family Ted's RV Land has been working for five years to secure a Holiday Rambler franchise for their business, which is located along Highway 55 southeast of Paynesville.

"The Holiday Rambler franchise is hard to get. They only position them 100 miles apart," said Ted Hoekstra, a co-owner of Ted's RV. The closest franchise is in the Twin Cities.

The Hoekstras consider Holiday Rambler a quality company with quality merchandise. In operation for 53 years, the company is well-established, said Jerry Hoekstra, another co-owner at Ted's RV Land

Holiday Rambler has motor homes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers of all sizes. "It's a feather in our cap to obtain the franchise," Ted said.

Holiday Rambler dealerships are limited. Before the Hoekstras could secure a franchise, another dealer had to drop one.

Ted's RV Land also handles other brands including Keystone, Fourth River, and Damon.

Besides selling campers, Ted's RV Land is a full service facility with repairmen on staff and a fully stocked parts department. Ted considers his 20 employees the best crew an employer could have.

Ted's RV Land is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. For more information about the new line, see their website at www.tedsrv.com.
