Youngsters enjoy "Making Messes"

This article submitted by Linda Stelling on 7/7/98.

Eighteen youngsters ranging in age from three to six gather twice a week to “make messes” while having fun.

The Community Education class Making Messes has the children making placemats and bookmarks, pudding painting and marble painting, making turtles, butterflies, masks and windsocks.

The three and four-year-olds meet for an hour, then the five and six-year-olds take their turn making gooey, slippery projects in the elementary school cafeteria.

Teaching the course are Brenda Torborg and Leah Bertram.
