Road race

Town and Country Days kicked off with the 10K,
5K and Fun Run races on Saturday, June 15.

  Morgan Martinson being crowned

The queen pageant was held on Monday, June 17. The poise and appearance award went to Ashley Wall; the talent award to Morgan Martinson; and Miss Congeniality was shared by Kandace Bengtson and Morgan Martinson.



Pet Show

The Pet Show was held Tuesday morning, June 18, on the grounds of Washburne Court. Little Bo Peep, Kayley Schlaak, gets a nuzzle from her lamb.

  Kiddie Parade

Tiffany and Chelsea dressed as the Statue of Liberty and in red, white, and blue for the Kiddie Parade on Tuesday afternoon. They were the first runners-up. The grand prize was won by the 18 kids in Terri Athmann's daycare.



Snow cones

Everyone loves a treat while at the carnival! Between hamburgers, cheese curds, snow cones, cotton candy, root beer floats, fry bread and more, it is hard to choose.

  Tractor pull

The tractor pull attacted 122 youngsters on Tuesday evening. Three prizes were given in each of eight categories.



Quilt auction

A first-ever quilt auction was held on Tuesday evening, sponsored by the R.O.S.E. Center. Mike Meagher, local auctioneer, donated his services.

  Baby at parade

The Paynesville Area Chamber gave away flags to spectators along the parade route in honor of the theme, American Pride. This youngsters wasn't sure he wanted a flag.



Parade bear

The A&W bear takes a break from the parade route to get a drink of water. Winner of the Grand Marshal's award was Voss Plumbing and Heating; Montevideo was first in the marching band contest.

  Carnival ride

Sam's Amusements was the new carnival this year. One of the favorite rides is always the Tilt-a-Whirl.



Little Miss DQ

The Little Miss Dairy Queen contest was held in the Gazebo Park on Sunday, June 23, at 3 p.m. Elizabeth Clawson was chosen as the new Little Miss DQ.

  Dennis the Menace Look-a-Like

Logan Lahr was crowned the new Dennis the Menace Look-a-Like on Sunday, June 23.
