Mackenzie Merrill named Miss Paynesville 1998

The contest for Miss Paynesville was close and the judges had a hard time deciding who would wear the crown as 1998 Miss Paynesville.

Following the judging, Mackenzie Merrill was named the 1998 Miss Paynesville and she also received the poise and appearance award. Angie Lahr was named first princess and Miss Congeniality. Melissa Schneider was named second princess. Lynne Stoneburner won the talent portion of the contest.

Other contestants were Sene Binsfeld, Amanda Christian, Stacy Jones, Valerie Meyer, and Stephanie Rohe.

On hand to crown their successors were 1997 Miss Paynesville Deanne Neuroth, First Princess Rissa Elliott, and Second Princess Michelle Glenz.

Rick Paul, chamber president welcomed those attending. Rick Hoyme and Mary Janotta were emcees for the evening.

Escorts for the evening were David Hemmesch, Ross Jenniges, and Craig Keller.

Receiving the Aquatennial awards were Bev Mueller and Mark Leverington.
