Kloster crowned Miss Paynesville

Kim Kloster was crowned the 1996 Miss Paynesville Monday night during the pageant in the elementary school.

Nine girls were vying for the title of Miss Paynesville. Competing for the honors were Jessica Utsch, Carrie Sieben, Cara Schultz, Heather Schmitt, Erin Pelton, Michaela Merrill, Kim Kloster, Sara Bauer and Amanda Bagley.

Escorts this year were David Brinkman, Andy Haglund and Matt Koehn.

The judges named Michaela Merrill, first princess, and Erin Pelton, second princess. Miss Talent honors went to Kim Kloster for her piano solo. Evening gown honors went to Erin Pelton and Carrie Sieben was named Miss Congeniality.

Crowned Little Miss Dairy Queen was Kelli Gerding. Devon Norris was named Dennis the Menace Look-a-Like.
