Graduation ceremony to be held Sunday at PAHS

The 97 members of the Class of 2003 at Paynesville Area High School will receive their diplomas on Sunday, June 8. The graduation ceremony for PAHS will be held once again in the high school gymnasium, starting at 2 p.m.

The graduation ceremony features songs by the band and choir, a welcome by superintendent Howard Caldwell, a senior address by Jessica Andrie and Nicole Schlangen, the awarding of scholarships to the senior class, and the presentation of diplomas.

graduating class of 2003 This year's class features 37 honor students. Graduating Summa Cum Laude (grade point average (GPA) of 3.8 and above) are: Andrie, Trisha Chevalier, Schlangen, Frederick Stock, and Joshua Teicher.

Graduating Magna Cum Laude (GPA between 3.5 and 3.8) are: Cassie Chrast, Riley Flanders, Stephanie Herzberg, Amber Spanier, Ann Stalboerger, and Samuel Thompson.

Graduating with Cum Laude honors (GPA between 3.0 and 3.5) are: Katie Bengtson, Jennifer Berg, Sara Boeck, Cory Buermann, Adam Christian, Martin Engen, Nicole Flint, Christopher Fuchs, Christopher Kern, Kayla Hemingson, Joshua Krupke, Amanda Mayer, Mindy Meagher, Eric Miller, Jason Parks, Bradley Person, Joshua Price, Justin Reeck, Sara Ringstad, Kelly Schultz, Rachel Sogge, Anthony Spates, Milan Virant, Scott Wendroth, and Gerald Wolbeck Jr.

The following 16 members of the Class of 2003 were inducted in the National Honor Society recognizing their scholastic ability, leadership, character, and service Jessica Andrie, Katie Bengtson, Trisha Chevalier, Cassie Chrast, Riley Flanders, Nicole Flint, Stephanie Herzberg, Amanda Mayer, Mindy Meagher, Justin Reeck, Nicole Schlangen, Amber Spanier, Ann Stalboerger, Laura Stoneburner, Joshua Teicher, and Samuel Thompson.

Baccalaureate was held for the senior class on Sunday, June 1.
