Class of 2005 to graduate from PAHS on Sunday

The Class of 2005 will graduate from Paynesville Area High School on Sunday, May 29. Ninety-six seniors will receive their diplomas at the ceremony at 2 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Along with the presentation of diplomas, the ceremony will include the awarding of scholarships, addresses by seniors Heather Albrecht and Kimberly Hess, and performances by the band and choir. The last day of school, for students, will be Friday, May 27.

The Class of 2005 has 37 honor students who will graduate wearing gold cords on Sunday.

Graduating Summa Cum Laude (grade point average (GPA) of 3.8 and above) are: Heather Albrecht, Kimberly Hess, Lisa Lenzmeier, Kayla Mackedanz, Michael Mueller, Ashley Spanier, and Phoebe Wellens.

Graduating Magna Cum Laude (GPA between 3.5 and 3.8) are: Amber Chevalier, Kayla Dingmann, Matthew Fuchs, Brittany Lieser, Stephanie Louis, Jack Mueller, Katie Nelson, Sarah Schmidt, and Rachael Wendlandt.

Graduating with Cum Laude honors (GPA between 3.0 and 3.5) are: Christopher Beier, Joshua Binsfeld, Justin Butkofski, Troy Gerding, Theresa Hedeen, Katie Holtzclaw, Stephanie Hormann, Kendra Johnson, Joan Keller, Amanda Kern, Casey Kussatz, Jeremy Lieser, Abby Lindeman, Erin Loesch, Michelle Magedanz, Matthew Mehr, Michelle Monson, Gregory Person, Kristi Utsch, Jason Wendroth, and Carrie Zirbes.

Students belonging to the National Honor Society - recognizing them for their character, leadership, scholastic ability, and service - are: Amber Chevalier, Matthew Fuchs, Kimberly Hess, Katie Holtzclaw, Kendra Johnson, Amanda Kern, Lisa Lenzmeier, Brittany Lieser, Erin Loesch, Stephanie Louis, Kayla Mackedanz, Michelle Magedanz, Matthew Mehr, Michelle Monson, Jack Mueller, Michael Mueller, Katie Nelson, Sarah Schmidt, Ashley Spanier, and Rachael Wendlandt.

Baccalaureate was held for the Class of 2005 on Sunday, May 15.
