Paynesville’s Subway has new owners. They are Warren and Pat Sundstrom, New London. The Sundstroms took over the Subway franchise on April 30 from Bill and Tony Werlinger.

Sundstrom has 27 years experience in the food service business. He has worked the last 15 years at the Green Lake Lutheran Bible Camp. Prior to taking over the local Subway, Warren had to complete a two-week school at the national Subway headquarters in Connecticut. He also had to complete three weeks of training at the Willmar Subway.

“I’m finding my new job challenging,” Sundstrom said. The couple are both receiving hands on experience working/managing the local Subway. “We want to offer the best quality Subway we can,” they added.

Pat has worked in the HeadStart system and at Kopy Shots in Paynesville. They have three children: Emily, 16, Andrew, 14, and Ryan, 9. Warren is a Boy Scout Master with Spicer Troop 545 and Cub Scout leader for Spicer Pack 237.
