Boots, cleaning supplies, diapers, bottled water, waders, and paper plates were among the items donated by area residents for flood relief. It is estimated that more than one ton of supplies and an undetermined amount of money were collected Monday. The supplies and money are being turned over to the Salvation Army who, in turn, will distribute them in flood areas.

The Paynesville Area Elementary students in collecting Dimes for Disaster raised $1,200 for flood relief. The middle school students raised about $400.
