SuperValu donates to PAES

Fifth grade students from Paynesville Area Elementary School will travel to Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center in Spicer in May, thanks to a donation of $1,660 from Paynesville SuperValu.

Fifth grade students and staff have been in charge of a special fundraiser where SuperValu donates one percent of the total receipts collected by PAES students.

At the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center, the students will participate in some initiative games and the challenge course. These programs teach communications, problem solving, critical thinking, as well as individual skills. As part of the challenge course the students will have the opportunity to do rock climbing, the flying squirrel, and the giant's ladder.

Barb Hanson, Barb Werlinger, Mary Stock, and Bernie Voss coordinated this fundraiser for PAES. A special thanks to all our students and families for bringing the receipts to school, said elementary principal Todd Burlingame.
