National Bushing/Auto Value Parts Store moved into their new location at the intersection of Highways 23 and 55 on March 13.

National Bushing opened in Paynesville in the early 1970s at its former location on East James Street, next to NSP. When the site on the west end of Paynesville became available, they felt it was a better location and more visible to the public. “We have pretty much the same square footage at our new location as we did in the old shop. The only diffference is we didn’t move the machine shop. We are sending everything to our St. Cloud specialty shop,” Joe Bengston, manager, said. “We have somebody making deliveries from the machine shop twice a day. The equipment needed to keep a machine shop up-to-date is tough in a small shop,” he added.

National Bushing in Paynesville serves a 20-mile radius. They specialize in parts for cars, trucks, tractors and small engines, foreign car parts, paint and body supplies.

Bengston and Tim Feddema are partners in the Albany store. Bengston is in Paynesville two days a week and spends the rest of the week in Albany. Also employed at the Paynesville site are Dennis Van Eps, assistant manager, Matt Dingman, delivery man, and Pat Zeis, traveling salesman. Zeis is on the road daily between St. Cloud and Paynesville.
