Check The Roscoe Baseball Club and the Lake Henry Volunteer Fire Department were awarded grants from Operation Round Up, a charitable-giving program sponsored by Stearns Electric Association.

The Roscoe Baseball Club (Represented by Don Heinen on left) received a $500 grant to help them install a grass infield on their diamond and add a sprinkler system. The field serves the Roscoe Community, little league, Legion and amateur baseball teams from the township areas of Munson, Zion, Paynesville, and Eden Lake, as well as city residents.

The Lake Henry Volunteer Fire Department (Repesented by Randy Rothstein right) received a $500 grant to help fund the purchase of a new tanker and truck for fighting fires in rural areas. Money for the program is collected from Stearns Electric customers, who allow their monthly electric bills to be rounded up to the next highest dollar. The donated money is placed in a special trust fund administered by the Stearns Electric Association Trust Board, a group of citizens that operates independently of the cooperative.

Application forms are available from Stearns Electric Association by calling Michelle Olson at 320-259-6601 or 1-800-448-1737.
