Students of the Month named for March at PAMS

By Michael Jacobson

March Students of the Month Students of the Month for March were announced last week at Paynesville Area Middle School.

Sixth grader Riley Sampson, seventh grader Krista Wendroth, and eighth grader Lindsey Pelton (from left to right) were selected by their teachers for their attitudes and efforts in class.

Sampson, the son of Bill and Nancy Sampson, was happy to win the award and thought his good grades helped him win. He likes to play basketball, football, and baseball.

His teachers said he "works hard to get the answers, participates positively, is nice to other kids, and is an all-around positive kid."

Wendroth, the daughter of Roberta Wendroth and Mark Wendroth, was also happy to receive the award and also thought that she got it because she is a good student.

She plans to run track this spring.

She works hard to be a good student, is responsible, and friendly, according to her teachers.

Pelton, the daughter of Ian and Colleen Pelton, was grateful to get the award, which she thinks she got because she tries hard and gets good grades.

She is involved in a number of activities at school: band, choir, pops choir, middle school theater, and softball.

Her teachers described her as very involved, as well as hard working, considerate, responsible, and someone who strives to do well.
